One of my recent projects has been listening to a 20-part series called Epic, which outlines the history of Christ and the Church.
In the first 4 sessions, we covered Pentecost and Christ’s establishment of the Church, the first Church council, Gentile converts, the apostles and their disciples, the early Christians’ view of the Eucharist and worship, persecution and martyrdom of the faithful under the Roman authorities, the conversion of the Roman empire, the rise of Constantine, Arian heresy, the Council of Nicaea, the development of the Christian creed, and the beginning of monasticism.
Whew. And that got me to about 325 A.D.

Thanks for mentioning this series. I’ve been looking for something to further my education on Church History. I swam the Tiber in ‘05 and I’ve been interested in church history ever since.

You’ll like the series- it has a ton of information, but it is a great overview (if you can call a 20 part cd series an overview!)
