I’m a native Atlantan living in the city of Atlanta. I know - there aren’t many of us left. Because the city has grown exponentially in the last few decades, I really can’t afford to venture too far out of my zip code if I want to have any chance of staying out of traffic and staying sane.
However, there are a few things worth going OTP for – that would be “outside the perimeter”, and if you live in Atlanta then you know what I mean. If you want to meet a bunch of evangelical Catholics who are acting like happy converts all the time and who are sponsoring some incredible speakers and workshops, then you need to get to St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. Their 2009 fall line-up includes nationally known Catholic apologists and topics on work, faith, and marriage. They even host a weekly series called “Why Catholic” at Blessed Trinity High School next door.
Visit www.stpeterchanel.org for the full schedule and registration information. Go on- venture out of your zip code and be blessed!!
